Closed Doors Opened

“I am a 45 year old male who has really been going through hell trying to patch things up with God.”

When I was 6 years old, I was raped by the custodian at the boys club in my hometown. I accepted Christ at a young age, but really didn’t accept Christ till my teens. I have been religiously up and down all my life.

My mother (a very religious woman) died 4 years ago and I went through a deep suicidal depression I could not get out of. I went back into an active homosexual lifestyle.

One night I had decided I couldn’t take it anymore, started crying, deciding to commit suicide, and prayed for God to show me what to do.

The very next day I met a new friend who has changed my life forever. His name is Ray, and at first I thought this was going to be my new lover. Thank God I was wrong. He invited me to church with him, which I joined and am very active and very happy with.

One night we were sitting on his porch, had a couple of beers, and started talking. The Lord told him what to say, I would think about it, and one by one many closed doors were opened. He showed me that I could love a man the way God intended it to be.

I still wrestle with the tendencies but God and Ray are always there to help me through.

The last week I have had a lot of old friends calling me wanting to get with me, and it’s been getting me down. Last night Ray told me about ChristianAnswers.Net. I am sitting here 6 hours later with a red face from getting it slapped so much from reading your articles.

Thanks to God, Ray, and ChristianAnswers.Net I know I will have victory in Jesus.

I have struggled with this for 39 years and I am here to tell anyone going through the same thing… Don’t Give Up… God will find a way.
