Sichem

also known as: Shechem, She'chem

a city mentioned in Genesis 12:6

It was in the valley or oak-grove of Moreh, between Ebal on the north and Gerizim on the south.

This is the site of Abraham’s first camp in the land of Canaan. It was at this place that God told him, “I will make of thee a great nation” (Genesis 12:2-3, 7)
