Woman

Origin of the first woman

And the man gave names to all the cattle and to the birds of the sky and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found a helper suitable for him. So Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept; then He took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh at that place. And Yahweh God fashioned the rib, which He had taken from the man, into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

Then the man said,

“This one finally is bone of my bones,
And flesh of my flesh;
This one shall be called Woman,
Because this one was taken out of Man.”

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.

And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. —Genesis 2:20-25 LSB

Woman was made the Creator out of Adam, she is not a separate Creation. She was “taken out of man,” and therefore the man has the preeminence. This is the Creator’s plan, not man’s decision.

In marriage, “the head of the woman is the man,” but yet honor is to be shown to the wife, “as unto the weaker vessel” (1 Corinthians 11:3, 8-9; 1 Peter 3:7). This relationship does not imply that one gender is more intelligent, wiser or better in any way.

But I [Paul] want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.

…For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; for indeed man was not created for the woman’s sake, but woman for the man’s sake. —1 Corinthians 11:3, 8-9 NASB

You husbands in the same way, live with your wives in an understanding way, as with someone weaker, since she is a woman; and show her honor as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered. —1 Peter 3:7 NASB

Adam and Eve’s later fall into sin sadly caused corruption in their beautiful God given relationship and and death (spiritual and physical) for them and their descendants. God ejected them from the paradise of the Garden of Eden with its access to the Tree of Life.
