He is one of David's courageous heroes (1 Chronicles 11:29), one of his “mighty men” and one of the 30 elite warriors. He was the general of the 8th division of 24,000 army men (1 Chronicles 27:11).

Sibbecai is a Judahite from Zarhites (descendants of Zerah), called Hushathite likely from ancestor/town Hushah.

He is Listed among David’s guard (1 Chronicles 11:29).

He slew the giant Saph/Sippai (descendant of Rapha/Rephaim) in the battle of Gob/Gezer (2 Samuel 21:18 and 1 Chronicles 20:4).

Sibbecai is also called Mebunnai (2 Samuel 23:27).
