Ohad is the 3rd son of the patriarch Simeon (Genesis 46:10).
He is one of the children of Israel that migrated to Egypt with his father during the famine that reunited the family with Joseph, now the 2nd highest official in the land—giving the family safety and preferential treatment in this foreign land.
