The name of two biblical cities…

1. A town on the northeastern border of Ephraim, in the Jordan valley (Joshua 16:6-7). Identified with the modern Yanun, 8 miles southeast of Nablus.

2. A town of Northern Israel, within the boundaries of Naphtali. It was taken by the king of Assyria (2 Kings 15:29).
