Gittite

Hebrew: גִּתִּי

also known as: Gitti

A Gittite (or Gitti) is a native of the Philistine city of Gath (Josh. 13:3)

The man Obed-edom, in whose house the ark of the covenant was temporarily placed, was a Gittite (2 Sam. 6:10).

The man Goliath, killed by David, was also a Gittite.

In later days, 600 Gittites came from Gath into Israel with David (15:18-19).
