Elymas

A name of Arabic origin meaning “wise.”

Elymas was the Arabic name of the Jew Bar-jesus, the sorcerer and false prophet. He challenged Paul and Barnabas in Cyprus. He was miraculously struck with blindness (Acts 13:11).
