Barkos
Meaning: Painter
This is the name of the father of some of the Hebrew men that came out of the captivity of the exiles whom King Nebuchadnezzar had taken to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his city. They returned with Zerubbabel and Nehemiah.
These sons were Nethinim, hereditary temple servants in post-Exile Judea.
