This was a very cool movie! We have watched it several times and enjoy it every time! We can hardly wait to see the other videos in this great series.

In this story a young boy receives a mysterious package that he believes is a birthday gift from his dad. When he opens the gift he finds the laptop computer he has been wanting. However, this is no ordinary computer—this one has the capability of bringing people from the past into the present time. (You wouldn’t believe the power this machine has!) Naturally, Josh, the main character in the story, calls his best friends and tells them about it. And so, the adventure begins…

In this episode, we get to meet David, the son of Jesse, and a few other characters from the Bible. (Would you believe an entire flock of sheep?) This movie makes several accurate references to the Biblical story of David. Of course, bringing someone from that time period into the present results in some very interesting, not to mention, humorous situations! There is much adventure—even a few edge-of-your-seat moments—to enjoy. At the end of the movie everything is as it should be… or is it? you’ll have to watch and find out!

Bottom line: Zondervan has produced a top notch video here—if you liked Focus on the Family’s “McGee and Me” movies or “Last Chance Detectives” movies, you are sure to enjoy this movie as well. While the guidelines listed on the movie suggest an 8 to 13 year old range for the viewing of this movie, I believe it can be enjoyed by some younger children (our 6 year old loved it!) and by the adults in your home. This is a movie that is definitely worth the price of rental. We have this movie in our home library!
