“Go home.”

Here’s what the distributor says about their film: “After a bus accident maroons a diverse group of young adventure travelers in a remote Brazilian beach town, they slowly discover that the white sand beaches and lush jungles are concealing a darker, unsettling secret.”

Positive—I went to go see this movie with my son-in-law. I thought, hey, I can bond with him!!! So I saw it, and I thought it was actually kind of good! I thought SOME parts were disturbing, but it wasn’t really bad. It doesn’t disrespect Christ, so that’s good!! Overall, it was good.

Positive—Language is crude; there is sex and nudity, gore and violence. There is more of a religious mix of characters than seems usual in movies of this type. When Amy asks if she could go swimming topless, Alex tells her to put her shirt on. Another character stops to pray during the intense escape sequence. I thought the movie was average as an action adventure with elements of horror. There was some interesting Brazilian scenery shown, although the underwater caves, which play a key role, became boring after a time.

…I just watched the trailer and got a week’s worth of unbiblical sexual eye candy. The rating is R for “strong graphic violence and disturbing content, sexuality, nudity, drug use and language.” While drug use, language, and violence don’t tempt me or cause me to stumble very much… sexual purity is a huge issue for me. If you are one of the 100% of men that also struggle, then I advise you to look for another film to watch. Out of respect for my wife and love for my savior I will not watch this movie. …
