Questions you got right:

Questions you got wrong:

Grade in percentage:

  1. The number one “terminator” on U.S. roads is…
  2. The Highway. Illustration copyrighted. If you said “alcohol” is the number one killer on U.S. road, you are wrong. The number one killer of drivers is trees. Lining the highways of America are millions of trees. If your car hits one, the tree doesn't move--you do …into eternity.

Here's more sobering statistics: three in every ten Americans will be involved in an alcohol-related crash at some time in their lives? (NHTSA, NCSA, 1999) "The Guardian" (from the U.K.) reports that "driver fatigue is estimated to play a significant part in up to 25% of accidents on motorways and fast roads." (Dec. 14, 2001). Cell phone usage while driving is also a hot topic today, with some states seeking to ban its usage while drivers are operating their vehicles.

  3. The two terminal diseases that kill the most in the U.S. are…
  4. Ambulance. Photo copyrighted.

If you said "Heart disease and cancer," you are right. If trees don't get you, they will. It's not a nice thought, but one we all must face--we are all terminal. There is however, a slight chance you will live to a ripe old age. But listen to Ettie Mae Greene at the ripe old age of 114, "I am so tired, I can hardly stand it." It doesn't take long for the “ripe” part of life to become rotten.

So what's the answer? Before we look at it, there is one more question…

If there was something you could do to stop the Great Terminator (death) from coming to you, would you look into it?

Who in his right mind wouldn't? There is something you can do. Please, give this a few minutes serious investigation--you have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

The Bible says that we are terminal because we have broken an eternal law. It says, "the soul that sins, will die." Let's see if you are a soul that has "sinned." We will do so by looking briefly at the Ten Commandments.

Have you ever told a lie? If you have, then you are a liar. Have you ever stolen something (value is irrelevant)? Then you are a thief. Jesus said if you look with lust, you have committed adultery in your heart. If you hate, then you have committed murder in your heart.

Have you loved God above all else? Have you made a 'god' to suit yourself (having your own beliefs about God)? Have you used God's name to curse, kept the Sabbath holy, honored your parents, or been greedy?

Judge yourself--have you broken the Ten Commandments? Knowing that God has seen your thought-life, and every deed done in darkness, will you be innocent or guilty on Judgment Day? You know you will be guilty. So, will you end up in Heaven or Hell?

Don't look to God's “goodness” to save you from Hell. If God is good, He will punish murderers, rapists, thieves and liars. He is so righteous, He will punish all sin. The only thing you can do to be saved from His wrath, is to repent and put your faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ.

When He died on the Cross, He took the punishment for our sins. He stepped into the Courtroom and paid the fine for us. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death.

Don't wait until Terminator Two (the "second death"--see Revelation 21:8) comes to you on Judgment Day. To find peace with God, pray something like this now: "God, please forgive my sins (name them). I turn from them and put my faith in Jesus Christ as my Lord and my Savior." Now read the Bible daily and obey what you read (see John 14:21)—God will never let you down.

My Decision…

  1. I want to become a follower of Jesus and his teachings. If you don't know how to accept Christ, see this example. (Important: please contact us.)

  2. Reject Jesus - Of course I know the Terminator (death) will get me. But I'll take my chances in the afterlife. I'm still skeptical.

  3. Rededicate - I already believe in Christ, but I've not been very active in trying to live by his teachings and work on my relationship with Him. I want to rededicate my commitment. (See this advice for new and growing Christians.)

  4. Wait - I have more questions. Or e-mail us..
