Meaning: an assigned portion; a gift (from a root word meaning: “to allot;” “to divide”)

  1. Hebrew: Timnathah (Genesis 38:12,14) “which is appropriately rendered in the Revised King James Version, Timnah, a town in Judah” (Matthew G. Easton)

  2. a town where Samson stayed / assumed to be the same as “Timnah” (Judges 14:1-18).
