Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead… —1 Kings 4:19 NKJV

Geber was one of King Solomon’s “12 deputies over all Israel” (1 Kings 4:7-19 NASB). He had jurisdiction over a part of Gilead, comprising all the kingdom of Sihon and part of the kingdom of Og (Deuteronomy 2:31)
