“Two competing views… one compelling truth”

Copyrighted, Fathom Events

Here’s what the distributor says about their film: “Explore the world to see how it intersects with the history recorded in Genesis. Dr. Del Tackett of The Truth Project hikes through canyons, climbs up mountains, and dives below the sea to examine two competing views… one compelling truth.

A fascinating look at the biblical, historical, and scientific evidence for Creation and the Flood, it provides a positive, evidenced-based case for the Bible’s view of history in Genesis.

Traveling the world, Tackett teams with experts in geology, biology, astronomy, archaeology, the Bible and more. Together they seek answers to longstanding questions surrounding the book of Genesis:”

  • Was the universe created in six literal days?
  • Did humans evolve?
  • Were Adam and Eve real?
  • Was there a global flood?
  • What happened to the dinosaurs?

Positive—Exceptionally well done! This film asks is the book of Genesis literal history and throughout the film raises important scientific questions. Beautifully filmed in locations such as the Grand Canyon, experts in various fields of study present compelling scientific evidence that what we observe in nature and in the lab is explained better by the Biblical narrative than secular theories of evolution, Big Bang, etc.

Easy to understand, especially when they show the evidence in nature, like the rock layers in Grand Canyon, complex ecosystems in coral reefs, variations within kinds of animals, and then compare and contrast the interpretation of the evidence. The audience literally gasped when they showed dinosaur soft tissue discovered by paleontologists and the obvious questions it raises regarding the assumed millions of years.

I was encouraged that the theater we attended had to move this film from a smaller room to their largest theater, the one normally reserved for the latest blockbuster—and it was a full house. They had obviously sold way more tickets than they anticipated. The film received tremendous applause and people were talking about it enthusiastically in the lobby afterward. Excellent!

… excellent, both in the quality of information presented and in its production value… took an unapologetic stand for a historical Genesis. Those of us at ICR who have seen the film wholly endorse it. …

…After the spectacular footage and important scientific and exegetical information, the documentary closes with a very effective explanation about why Genesis matters for the Christian faith. …
