Dear Christian,

I wish that you and I could sit face-to-face and talk together. We are witnessing difficult times in America and throughout the world. Many of the problems can be traced back to spiritual issues. What can you and I do about it? We have some solutions.

Have you noticed how little most people know about God and His Word? Sadly, it's even true of most church-goers. We find that most people also have personal doubts about the trustworthiness of the Bible. Over the last decade, the number of Americans who read the Bible has dropped significantly. According to pollster George Gallup, less than half can now even name the first book of the Bible, much less list the Ten Commandments. He declared the USA, "A nation of biblical illiterates."

What is the natural result of such ignorance and spiritual shallowness? SIN and problems resulting from sin! Here are some of the statistics:

As Scripture says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6). Sin is abounding not only in the world, but also in far too many Christian homes. I recently examined the statistics for lying, pornography use, sexual immorality and divorce among Christians. I was horrified. It is reported that 75% of “born again” Christians lie regularly and consciously (source: Save America).

The divorce rate among born-again Christians has become the same as for non-Christians, and 90% of these divorces happened after the partners became Christians (source: Barna Research Group).

WE NEED REVIVAL! Unfortunately, church attendance is far lower than it should be, and many churches are not providing the answers that people need. We see this everyday in our ministry.

WHAT CAN BE DONE? If only you and I could get more Christians involved in quality Bible study and growth, young people and adults. If only we could bring accurate, relevant, biblical answers to millions where they live in their homes, offices, schools and prison cells where the church is often not reaching effectively! If only you and I could show people the truth, and provide answers to their heartfelt questions.

That is exactly what the Lord has called Films for Christ to do through mass communications on the Internet and through films and TV. He is already doing amazing things. Your help is greatly needed to continue and expand this ministry. You can help fill a need that is generally not being met by local churches.

Not only are we working on new evangelism and discipleship efforts aimed at Americans and the Western world, we are also focusing on Muslims. With your help, we can reach them in ways that traditional missionaries cannot.

Please help us bring God's truth to people during this time of world crisis. Doors of special opportunity are opening! We are flooded with questions about the nature of God, evil, sin, salvation, Christianity, Islam, life after death, and other deep issues.
