Gebalites

also known as: Giblites

Hebrew: גִּבְלִי —transliteration: Gibliy

These are the inhabitants of ancient Gebal which is located in modern Lebanon (Joshua 13:5; 1 Kings 5:18 NASB).

Note: The King James Version of 1 Kings 5:18 KJV incorrectly rendered the name Gebalites/Giblites (גִּבְלִי) as “stonesquarers.”
