“Bashan-havoth-jair” was the Bashan of the villages of Jair, the general name given to Argob by Jair, the son of Manasseh (Deuteronomy 3:14), containing 60 cities with walls and bronze gates (1 Kings 4:13).

And their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all of Havvoth-jair, which are in Bashan, 60 cities; —Joshua 13:30
