Bajith
also known as: Bayith
Meaning: House
Bajith was the name of an ancient Biblical city, probably in Moab, which had a celebrated idolatrous temple (Isaiah 15:2).
Bajith appears only in Isaiah 15:2 KJV as a place in Moab where people go up to weep amid judgment.
It has also been regarded as denoting simply the temple of the idol of Moab as opposed to the “high place.”
The city’s significance is as a part of prophecy against Moab's idolatry and coming destruction, and the fact that it symbolizes false worship and national lament.
