anathema

Greek: “anathema” / Meaning: to be cursed or damned.

This word is used once in the King James Bible (1 Cor 16:22); it is not used in other translations. The New Revised Standard Version translates this verse well: “Let anyone be accursed [anathema] who has no love for the Lord. Our Lord, come!”
