“My Mom's New Boyfriend” is the story of Marty Durand (Meg Ryan), a single mom who is obese, a chain smoker and miserable. Her son Henry (Colin Hanks) is a special ops FBI agent, who leaves on a 3 year mission. Upon returning, after three years of no apparent communication with his mother, he brings home a fiance' named Emily (Selma Blair) and finds that his mother is an entirely changed woman. In those three years, she suddenly became rich, thin, beautiful, desired by all men, and he has trouble coping with her changes.

In an incredibly out-of-nowhere storyline twist, Henry and Emily are suddenly living with Marty and based out of an FBI office in Shreveport. While going to work one day, Henry is made aware that one of his mother's many boyfriends (Antonio Banderas) is a suspected art thief, and he is made head of the task force attempting to capture him.

Aside from the incredibly poor script, acting, storyline and quality of film, the movie itself is chucked full of sexual dialog, immodest apparel, language, sexual content, and this is without taking into consideration the drug deal we see take place, the half-naked girl providing lap dances, or any of the other offensive scenes.

Honestly, there is just nothing good to say about this movie.

For countless reasons, I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone. Disappointingly, this movie is a complete waste of time.
